Playoffs - The NFL Regular Season is over, and so is the GOOFBALL Fantasy Football League Regular Season.  That can only mean one thing:  it's time for the Playoffs!  Here are the teams that will be advancing to the GOOFBALL Playoffs, listed in order of their draft position for their playoff roster:

1^st Place:         Highest-ranked Division Winner from either conference:  After Further Review
2^nd Place:        Highest-ranked Division Winner from remaining conference:  Temporary Insanity
3^rd Place:         Second-highest-ranked Division Winner from either conference:  The Stooges
4^th Place:         Second-highest-ranked Division Winner from remaining conference:  Howie's Heroes
5^th Place:         Highest-ranked remaining team (“Wild Card”) from either conference:  Pet Coon
6^th Place:         Highest-ranked remaining team (“Wild Card”) from remaining conference:  Artificial Intelligence
7^th Place:         Second-highest-ranked remaining team (“Wild Card”) from either conference:  The Silverback
8^th Place:         Second-highest-ranked remaining team (“Wild Card”) from remaining conference:  Spirit of St. Louis

Playoffs Draft - I will send an e-mail out to the owners whose teams are advancing to the GOOFBALL Playoffs to arrange a time and place for the GOOFBALL Playoffs Draft.  If any of you are interested in hosting this event, please send me an e-mail.

League Fees - The Regular Season is now complete, and there are still two teams that have not paid:  Spirit of St. Louis and Bafana Bafana.

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 27, 2011) Coming up in a week 17 GOOFBALL Fantasy Football League intra-divisional battle, the 15-2 After Further Review, who hope to extend their 7 game winning streak, play the 7-10 Bafana Bafana.

After Further Review were led in week 16 by a 33 point effort from Jordy Nelson, who beat the Chicago Bears defense for 115 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. In addition, Reggie Bush was not injured before the start of his week 16 game, and contributed 15 points, but he's listed as out in week 17 due to an injured knee , which might severely limit his fantasy production. Based on projections from FantasySharks.com, After Further Review can expect a 24 point effort from Philadelphia Eagles in week 17.

"When these two teams get together you can throw out their records," After Further Review coach Dave Vawter said.

Bafana Bafana were led in week 16 by a 25 point effort from Atlanta Falcons. Based on projections from FantasySharks.com, Bafana Bafana can expect a 28 point effort from Calvin Johnson in week 17, who is expected to beat the Green Bay Packers defense for 110 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"We have to step up and make plays," Bafana Bafana coach Brad Schick said.

In week 1, After Further Review defeated Bafana Bafana by 7 points, so coach Brad Schick is looking for revenge this week. In the 3-year history of this rivalry, After Further Review hold a 2-1-0 all-time series record against Bafana Bafana.
